With the goal of holistic transformation, the hospital is focused on the large Mahadalit population, one of the most oppressed ‘untouchable’ groups in India, to reach out to them with health care, social and development opportunities.

Madhepura Christian Hospital traces its beginning to 1953 when it was started as a small dispensary by the Brethren in Christ Church. It is located in the northeast part of Bihar. Today the 25 beds hospital offers medical care services – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Radiology, Immunization, Paediatrics, Nursery, Palliative and Critical care. The community health program is involved in Anti-trafficking, Livelihood support, Disaster preparedness, and Dalit empowerment in then communities.
